Ingredients:
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, browned and cooled
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 cups semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chunks
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line baking sheets with parchment paper
In a large bowl, mix the browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition
Stir in the vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined
Fold in the chocolate chunks until evenly distributed in the cookie dough
Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets
Sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of flaky sea salt
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still slightly soft
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely
