A creamy and flavorful buffalo chicken pasta made effortlessly in the slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1 lb pasta such as penne or rigatoni
- 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish optional
Instructions:
Put chicken cubes, buffalo sauce, chicken broth, heavy cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and cream cheese cubes in a slow cooker
Put the lid on top and set the heat to low
Cook for 4 to 6 hours, or until the chicken is well done and soft
Follow the directions on the package to cook the pasta until it is al dente
Add the cooked pasta to the slow cooker and make sure it's well covered with the sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking
You can add blue cheese crumbles on top if you want to
Add pepper and salt to taste
If you want, you can add chopped green onions as a garnish before serving
